Klaviyo bills by how many contacts you store. We bill by how much mail you actually send. At equal send volumes we are cheaper on published rates, but Klaviyo's price buys an ecommerce suite we do not offer, so the honest comparison depends on what you use.

| All In One Email | Klaviyo | |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing model | Per message sent. Published tiers: $0.80 CPM up to 100,000 emails/month, $0.70 up to 1 million, $0.60 up to 2.5 million. Higher volumes quoted. | By active profile. Email sends are granted at roughly ten times your profile count, so the meter is the size of your list, not what you send. |
| Published tiers | $0.80 / $0.70 / $0.60 CPM by monthly volume. | 1,500 profiles $45/mo (15,000 emails); 13,500 profiles $325/mo (135,000 emails); 55,000 profiles $790/mo (550,000 emails); 120,000 profiles $1,610/mo (1,200,000 emails); 150,000+ profiles is "Talk to sales". Free tier: 250 profiles, 500 emails/month. |
| Cost to send 135,000 emails/month | $94.50 on the $0.70 tier. | $325/mo at the 13,500-profile tier that grants 135,000 sends. |
| Cost to send 550,000 emails/month | $385 on the $0.70 tier. | $790/mo at the 55,000-profile tier that grants 550,000 sends. |

| What the price includes | The sending platform, automation, segmentation and reporting, plus deliverability work done by our team on Platform Plus Sending and Fully Managed. | A full ecommerce marketing suite: on-site forms, product recommendations, Customer Hub, reviews and 350+ integrations. Several pieces, including their AI agent, social marketing and reviews, are priced as separate add-ons on top of the profile fee. |
| Dormant contacts | Cost nothing. You are billed for sends. | Counted as active profiles and billed, whether or not you mail them. |
| Best fit | High-volume senders in political, nonprofit, advocacy and publishing, and organizations that want the deliverability program operated for them. | Ecommerce and DTC brands that want email, SMS, on-site forms and store data in one system. |
We would rather you pick the right tool than pick us. These are the cases where we would genuinely point you to them.
Klaviyo is built around ecommerce. Product feeds, browse and cart behavior, order data, reviews and on-site forms are the core of the product. If your email is driven by store activity, that integration is the whole value and we do not replicate it.
Klaviyo sells mobile messaging alongside email, priced per send with carrier fees. If running both channels from one tool matters to you, that is a genuine advantage.
Their free tier covers 250 profiles and 500 sends a month, and paid plans start at $45. At that size our pricing makes no sense and we would be poor value.
On-site forms, product recommendations and a customer portal are real products. If you would otherwise buy them separately, the bundled price may well be cheaper than assembling it.
On published rates, at equivalent send volumes, yes. As of 19 August 2026 their 55,000-profile tier costs $790 per month and grants 550,000 sends; the same volume with us is $385 on the $0.70 tier. At 1.2 million sends it is $1,610 against $720. But read the next answer before treating that as the whole picture.
Because the two prices do not buy the same thing. Klaviyo's fee includes an ecommerce marketing suite: on-site forms, product recommendations, a customer portal, reviews and hundreds of store integrations. If you use those, you are not overpaying, you are buying more. The comparison is only fair if what you actually need is email sending and deliverability.
Probably not, and we would rather tell you now. Klaviyo is purpose-built for stores and we are not. The senders who move to us are usually political, nonprofit, advocacy or publishing organizations with large lists and volume-driven sending.
They stop costing money. Because we bill by messages sent rather than profiles stored, a dormant contact is free. Under profile-based pricing the same contact is billed every month whether or not you mail them, which is why list pruning is a cost decision there and a deliverability decision here.
